While Waiting for the “Game of Thrones'” Premiere, Watch Kit Harington’s Auditions and a Lively Parody Series (Things We Love)

Eager for HBO’s acclaimed series GAME OF THRONES to return? While the light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight (the show returns this Sunday), we have some truly amusing videos to tide you over in the meantime.

The show’s very own Jon Snow aka actor Kit Harington dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to reveal his never-before-seen audition tape for the series, generously handed over by co-creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff. While, of course, it’s hard to imagine Harington as anyone other than Jon Snow, his take on little sister Arya Stark is particularly amusing. Plus, he seems to confuse his fantasy series in his audition reel… but now we can’t but wonder: what if Harry Potter really was in Game of Thrones?

Fans are doing their part to creatively and amusingly make the long, long wait for the return of the series a little more bearable. Take the LA-based comedy sketch group Practical Folks, for example, and their new parody web series “Power Hour.” Hosted by Cersei and Littlefinger, the series, which recently completed its 10-episode first season, brings you news of the realm as well as interviews with some of Westeros’ most colorful characters, including Sansa, Margaery, Joffrey, and more. In short, digestible episodes, with genuinely great and sharp humor and fun takes on some of our favorite characters, the new web series is an enjoyable way to get your Game of Thrones fix until Sunday rolls around. Plus, it’s always fun and exciting to see the great creativity that comes from fans.
