Funnyman Will Arnett has launched a new production company, Electric Avenue, has signed a first look deal at CBS TV Studios. Under the deal, the company will develop and produce content across all platforms for the studio. For their first project, the company is in talks to option “How Not to Calm a Child on a Plane and Other Lessons in Parenting From a Highly Questionable Source,” a collection of essays written by Joanna Stein. Arnett has tapped Jed Weitzman to run the company, as well as Marc Forman to act as director of development.

Arnett is known for his roles on the Fox/Netflix series “Arrested Development” and on his CBS comedy series “The Millers.” The comic actor has also starred in films like “Blades of Glory,” “The Lego Movie,” and, of course, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” It was recently announced that Netflix is planning a fifth season of “Arrested Development,” which would see Arnett reprise his role as Gob Bluth.

Arnett is repped by WME and Principato-Young Entertainment.
