WME Acquires Lit Agency Rabineau Wachter Sanford & Gillett
0Talent agency WME has bought Rabineau Wachter Sanford & Gillett (RWSG), the lit agency behind upcoming works such as The Girl On The Train and The Snowman.
Sylvie Rabineau and Jill Holwager Gillett founded the literary company in 2000 and have worked to help bring authors as well as film and television writers’ stories to life on screen. Rabineau and Gillett will remain involved as co-heads of WME’s book to film/TV division and working in the film and television literary departments.
WME’s head of books Jennifer Rudolph Walsh said, “This acquisition builds upon WME’s commitment to great storytelling and our love of books. With Sylvie and Jill at the helm, we are thrilled to extend our great resources to embrace the co-agent community. Sylvie and Jill are responsible for bringing some of the most iconic projects to the screen.”
Previously, RWSG has developed the films Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, as well as television series The Leftovers, Olive Kitteridge, and the upcoming Berlin Station.
Some of RWSG’s authors include Megan Abbott, Roxane Gay, Sara Gran, Paula Hawkins, Denis Johnson, and Jo Nesbo.
