UNBROKEN is slowly coming to fruition. It has a director (Angelina Jolie) and it has a new draft from Joel and Ethan Coen (!!!) and now it’s testing three young actors for the lead. Those actors are Alexander Dreymon, Jack O’Connell and Dane DeHaan.
The project follows the true story of Louis Zamperini, a former Olympian, and his two crewmates when their plane crashes at sea during World War II and floats adrift for 47 days until capture and sent to a POW camp by the Japanese Navy.
DeHaan is my default favorite, only because I’m more familiar with his work. He’s racked up roles in Spielberg’s “Lincoln”, “Chronicle” and “Kill Your Darlings”. He’s currently filming “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”. Dreymon is more a newcomer and has only wracked up a few roles in thrillers “Resistence” and “Blood Ransom”. O’Connell starred in “Skins” and last appeared in action thriller “The Liability”. He’ll be seen next in the 300 sequel “300: Rise of an Empire”.
O’Connell and DeHaan are repped by CAA while Dreymon is repped by Gersh.
