Alessandro Nivola is the latest to be cast in Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming horror pic NEON DEMON. Nivola has been cast in a lead role as a fashion manager/producer who selects Elle Fanning’s character to become his muse.
Nivola joins Fanning, Abbey Lee, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Jena Malone, Bella Heathcote, Karl Glusman, and Desmond Harrington. Refn will helm the stylistic horror from a script he co-wrote with Mary Laws.
Nivola previously starred opposite Fanning and Hendricks in the 2012 drama Ginger and Rosa. Most recently, the thespian appeared in 2014’s A Most Violent Year and Selma. Some of Nivol’as credits include Jurassic Park III, American Hustle, The Eye, and Devil’s Knot.
He also recently starred opposite Bradley Cooper in the stage production of The Elephant Man, which just completed its Broadway run in February. Nivola will reprise his role alongside Cooper in the upcoming London production.
