A quick recap and update on the names of cast on board, in talks, or out of contention for Ridley Scott’s upcoming UNTITLED ALIEN PREQUEL.

If you’ll recall, the prequel idea at one point was set to carry across two films. However, once it was decided to simply encompass one, the roles which Dicaprio and Portman would have played were gone (or so small, they were too big to consider). Now, with one film, it appears the casting is taking more shape, as Rapace and Arterton are all but signed & sealed, Yeoh is in final negotiations, and Fassbender’s reps are trying to keep the role originally offered to him, but almost lost when an outrageous payday was sought, and Fox instead warmed to the idea of Franco.
All in all, at the hands of Ridley Scott, and a return to the Alien world, I think any names above would be a very nice fit!
