A whole mess of new actors have joined ANESTHESIA, a drama project written, directed and produced by Tim Blake Nelson.
Sam Waterston, Glenn Close, Corey Stoll, Gretchen Mol, Michael K. Williams, Gloria Reuben (takes deep breath), Jessica Hecht, Mickey Sumner and K. Todd Freeman are joining the film, which follows the lives of several New Yorkers who all come together after a Columbia University professor is mugged. They’ll be joining Nelson and Kristen Stewart who were already cast. Production is already underway.
Julie Buck, Josh Hetzler and Christopher Scott are the other producers.
Waterston can be seen boozing it up on HBO’s “Newsroom” and will next be seen in “Please Be Normal.” He’s repped by Gersh.
Close will be in the upcoming Marvel movie “The Guardians of the Galaxy”. She’s repped by CAA.
Stoll was brought to our attention in Netflix’s “House of Cards.” He’ll soon appear opposite Liam Neeson in “Non-Stop” and Jason Bateman in “This Is Where I Leave You.” He’s repped by UTA.
Mol currently stars in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”, she’ll next grace the silver screen in “True Story” and “Laggies.” Williams is also a major player on “Boardwalk Empire” and can be seen currently in “12 Years a Slave.” He’ll next appear in the “Robocop” remake and “Kill the Messenger.” They’re both repped by ICM.
Reuben was last seen in “Admission” and will soon appear opposite Samuel L. Jackson in “Reasonable Doubt.” She is repped by APA.
Hecht, Summer and Freeman are repped by Innovative Arists, ICM and Harden-Curtis respectively.
