Three-time Emmy award-winner Aaron Paul has found his return to television, with Hulu’s THE WAY. The series centers on a family at the head of a controversial movement, grappling with the lives they live and the lives they desire, feeling the weight of their intertwined relationships.
Paul will lead as Eddie Cleary, a recent convert to the movement who finds himself buckling with a crisis of faith. He’ll play husband to Michelle Monaghan, who also stars. Paul will also produce the ten-episode drama, as part of his new first-look deal with Universal TV, which is developing the series.
Creator Jessica Goldberg will write and executive produce, along with Parenthood creator Jason Katims and Michelle Lee. Paul’s Lucid Road Productions and Katims’ True Jack Productions will produce.
Paul won three Emmy’s for his portrayal of fan-favorite breakout Jesse Pinkman on the cultural sensation Breaking Bad. Since the series wrapped, Paul has starred in the indie drama Hellion, Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods And Kings, and the video game adaptation Need For Speed.
Up next, he’ll star opposite Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan for the supernatural drama The Ninth Life of Louis Drax. He’ll also star alongside Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Gal Gadot in Open Road’s crime/thriller Triple Nine.
Paul is repped by UTA and Leverage Management.
