Aaron Sorkin is in talks to put pen to paper for Sony’s upcoming adaptation FLASH BOYS. Based on the Michael Lewis novel, the story centers on a group of Wall Street traders who walked away from their high paying jobs and banded together to reform the finance industry after becoming frustrated with a loophole giving traders an unfair financial advantage.
This project will mark the second Lewis adaptation Sorkin has tackled, having written a draft of Sony’s “Moneyball.” Sorkin is well known for his political dramas including “The West Wing,” “A Few Good Men,” “An American President,” and “The Newsroom.” He’s also known for penning another adaptation, “The Social Network.” Next up, Sorkin is set to adapt and direct “The Politician,” as well as penning scripts for Disney’s “Trial of the Chicago 7” and “Ocean of Storms” for Fox.
Sorkin is repped by WME.
