British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson may appear in the big screen adaptation of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. Based on the E.L. James book, the story follows innocent Anastasia Steele who becomes sexually involved with wealthy entrepreneur Christian Grey, a man with a severe sexual appetite for bondage and sadism. Taylor-Johnson’s wife Sam Taylor-Wood is directing the project which will star Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Taylor-Johnson was originally linked to the lead role of Christian Grey before Charlie Hunnam was cast and later replaced by Dornan. There’s no word yet on which role Taylor-Johnson would play or how large his part would be.
Taylor-Johnson is best known for his role as John Lennon in the biopic “Nowhere Boy” and as Dave Lizewski in the “Kick Ass” series of films. He will appear in the upcoming “Godzilla” remake and in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” as Quicksilver.
Taylor-Johnson is repped by UTA, Hamilton Hodell and Brillstein Entertainment.

It will be nice to see this young man in the movie but we all wonder what role is left to play from the first
book? Isn’t that “JACK”, Anas’ boss at the publishing house? He wasn’t mentioned in the original news on the casting and neither was Elizabeth, also at the publishing house. Can you let the cat out of the bag now?
One other point…when I read anything about 50 Shades in the trades, 9 times out of 10, writers mention Charlie Hunnam, the actor who originally was offered the part of Christopher Grey, accepted, and then backed out saying it was scheduling which would get in the way of his other acting jobs. Recently, he stated he really didn’t want to be typecast in the 50 Shades role. Which is it Mr. Callum? On the positive side, your PR people have done a great job for you.
