ABC has ordered an untitled comedy pilot from Justin Noble, based on the book and blog How May We Hate You by Anna Drezen and Todd Dakotah Briscoe.
The workplace ensemble comedy centers on two guest service associates at a high-end resort and the co-workers and guests that they’re stuck with for eight to sixteen hours a day.
Noble, a co-producer on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, will write and serve as a co-executive producer, while Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor of Kapital Entertainment and Wendi Trilling of TrillTV will serve as EPs on the co-production between CBS TV Studios and ABC Studios.
The project will compete for a slot on ABC’s 2018-19 schedule against a remake of Greatest American Hero, Diablo Cody’s Most Likely To, family sitcoms Steps, Single Parents and Three Rivers, as well as untitled projects from Bobby Bowman and Tim Doyle, in addition to an untitled Kenya Barris sitcom that reverted to the pilot stage after Alec Baldwin declined to play the lead role.
