〉 Bower joins over 150 Launch Pad writers who have landed representation in just three years.
We are pleased to announce that 2015 Launch Pad Pilots Competition writer Jeff Bower has signed with agents Paul Weitzman and Manal Hammad of Abrams Artists Agency. Bower landed in the Top 25 of the 2015 Launch Pad Pilots Competition with his original drama pilot HALCYON FALLS.
Pitched as American Crime meets The Killing, the story is set in the aftermath of a tragic school shooting in a seemingly idyllic American small town, where long-hidden secrets are threatened to be exposed.
Halcyon Falls thrilled Launch Pad readers with exceptionally strong writing that builds the story towards a shocking final twist – a turn that raises the stakes considerably for the rest of the season, introducing a gripping new development which guarantees viewers will tune in for the next week and beyond. Making full use of its dark subject matter, this character study and subtle critique of modern society has an impact that truly resonates.
Halcyon Falls also won the Best Drama Category in ScreenFest TV Pilot Launch, finished in the Top 10 in the PAGE awards, and Top 50 in the ScreenCraft Bahama Residency. Bower also has a play published by Samuel French, and his script Baby Not On Board received a Notable Project designation in 2013 with Amazon Studios. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, an MFA in Acting, and has completed the improv training at both iO West and UCB-LA.
Congratulations Jeff! We can’t wait to see where your career goes from here!
