Adam Green has signed on to direct EXORCISM ON CROOKED LAKE.
Revolver Picture Company will be producing this latest horror venture from the director of the modern slasher classic “Hatchet,” and the “I am never going skiing again,” “Frozen.”
The story follows two priests and a female medical student who head to a remote house to exorcise a young pregnant woman only to find themselves under siege from a Satanic cult looking to claim the child. He will be working from a script by Stacy Chbosky, John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle.
I don’t always love exorcism films, but I do really enjoy the “Hatchet” series and think that Green has a good grasp of horror. So this one is a mixed bag for me, though the addition of cultists certainly sounds like fun. Only time will tell.
This will be Green’s next feature following the upcoming metafictional “Digging Up The Marrow.” He is also writing “Killer Pizza” for MGM and “Dead West” for Solipsist Films.
