The indie comedy BAND AID from Life in Pieces star Zoe Lister-Jones is rounding up quite a cast as it heads into pre-production. Adam Pally, Brooklyn Decker, Fred Armisen, Hannah Simone, Ravi Patel, and Susie Essman are all in talks to star in the project alongside Lister-Jones, who wrote the script and is set to make her feature directorial debut. Story details are being kept under wraps.
The film is being produced by Lister-Jones with Natalia Anderson and co-producer Kristen Murtha. Lister Jones and Anderson have previously worked together on the CBS series Life in Pieces, where Lister-Jones stars and Anderson works as a production associate.
Pally, who is perhaps best known for his role on the beloved sitcom Happy Endings, currently stars on the Hulu comedy The Mindy Project and recently joined the Lord & Miller sitcom Making History for Fox. He is repped by UTA and 3 Arts Entertainment.
Armisen is an SNL alum who currently stars in the IFC series Portlandia, which he co-created with Carrie Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel. A skilled musician, Armisen also serves as the bandleader for Late Night with Seth Meyers. He is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment.
Decker started her career as a model before taking roles in television series and films like Adam Sandler’s Just Go With It and Peter Berg’s Battleship. She has also appeared on The League, New Girl, and Hollywood Game Night. In 2014, Decker co-starred with Lister-Jones is the CBS series Friends With Better Lives, and the pair also shot a Funny or Die short together. Decker is repped by Gersh and Authentic Talent and Literary Management.
Lister-Jones and her partner Daryl Wein, who co-wrote the 2009 relationship drama Breaking Upwards, landed on the 2010 Black List with their spec Lola Versus. They recently co-wrote the dramatic thriller Consumed, in which Lister-Jones starred and Wein directed. Together, they are also in development with the romantic comedy Motherf***er, which Wein is also set to direct.
