Jackson joins the previously cast Travis Fimmel and Liu Yifei in the film which follows an American con man (Fimmel) who teams with a Chinese physicist (Liu) to save the earth from a loss of gravity. Jackson will play a character who believes these two are causing the gravity inversions and races across the globe to try and stop them.

Production is expected to begin at the end of February in Berlin and then Shanghai and Chicago.

Inversion is one of the many films that continues a rising trend of U.S. and China co-productions as China becomes a bigger player in the film industry, especially for Hollywood.
