After “Game of Thrones,” Ed Sheeran Heads to “The Simpsons” (Photo)

is getting animated for his next gig following a much-hyped cameo on Sunday night’s premiere of GAME OF THRONES.

The British singer will next appear on an episode of , and EW has the first photo of Sheeran in character.

In a special musical episode titled Haw-Haw Land, Sheeran will voice a character named Brendan, a musician whom Lisa Simpson immediately takes a liking to.

“He keeps alternating [between], ‘You’re not that great, but you could be fantastic,’ and she keeps falling for him because of his talent,” executive producer Al Jean told the magazine about Sheeran’s character, adding that a love triangle is formed when Nelson decides to try to impress Lisa with his own singing talen.

“He sings ‘Save the Last Dance for Me’ with new lyrics, and he kind of bullies those notes,” Jean revealed.

Season 29 of The Simpsons will premiere in October on Fox, with Sheeran’s episode slated for late fall.
