Bill Paxton is in talks to join Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in Doug Liman’s ALL YOU NEED IS KILL, an adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s novel of the same name.
The pic follows a new recruit (Cruise) in a war against aliens who finds himself caught in a time loop where he wakes up one day in the past after having been killed on the battlefield. Through the training and battles he experiences in these time loops, he becomes a better soldier. If he accepts the role, Paxton would play Cruise’s tough platoon leader. Charlotte Riley will also star.
Erwin Stoff, Tom Lassally and Jason Hoffs will produce.
Paxton has plenty of experience battling aliens between his roles in “Aliens” and “Predator 2”. The talented thesp recently starred in the action pic “Haywire” and will next be seen alongside Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington in “2 Guns”.
