Allison Tolman And Emjay Anthony Will Have A Not So Silent Night In “Krampus”

And are the first actors announced to be starring in the upcoming horror/comedy . The film will realize a new interpretation of the mythical pagan fairy who terrorizes naughty children, better known as the “Anti-Claus.” Tolman and Anthony will play mother and son in a family that is terrorized one Christmas night by the devilish Krampus. Anthony’s character is said to be the film’s essential lead, as it is he that must do battle with the demon. The film marks a return to the horror genre for “Trick ‘r Treat” director Michael Dougherty, who not only helms the picture, but co-writes with Todd Casey and Zach Shields.

This marks the second feature film for Tolman, who is relatively new to the scene. Recently, Tolman made waves with her portrayal of Sheriff Molly Solverson on the hit FX series “Fargo,” inspired by the film of the same name. The wardrobe assistant-turned-actress has also appeared on “Prison Break,” “Sordid Lives: The ” and was on two episodes of “The Mindy Project.” Up next, Tolman will make her feature film debut with the comedy “Fresno” starring Fred Armisen, Aubrey Plaza and Judy Greer. 

Anthony has had a slew of roles in both film and television, having been featured on “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Mentalist,” “Rake” and in the film “No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie.” Most notably, however, he starred in the Alec Bladwin/Meryl Streep hit “It’s Complicated” and in Jon Favreau’s indie darling “Chef.” Up next, the child actor will voice a character in Favreau’s “The Jungle Book” as well as star in the new Divergent sequel “Insurgent.” Anthony will also appear in the Aaron Eckhart thriller “Incarnate.”
