Allison Williams is in talks to join ROSALINE, which was pitched as a contemporary retelling of “Romeo & Juliet” in a high school setting and told from the perspective of Romeo’s ex-girlfriend. Williams will play the lead role, Rosaline. No word if Lily Collins is still attached or if she’s no longer on the project. Why Romeo would pass on Williams will probably have to be chalked up to suspension of belief.
Producing will be Shawn Levy from a script by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
Williams is best known for HBO’s “Girls” and also recently did a stint on Fox’s “The Mindy Project”. This project would mark her feature debut.
She is repped by Paradigm.
