Amazon has officially ordered a pilot from Nebraska screenwriter Bob Nelson, titled HIGHSTON. Sacha Baron Cohen will serve as executive producer. The pilot will be directed by Little Miss Sunshine directing duo Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. The story follows a nineteen-year-old guy named Highston who is preparing to make his way into the adult world. Whenever he becomes scared, he retreats into his own imagination and talks to his celebrity mentors to help him through.
Nelson got his start in sketch comedy, and has gone on to direct the film Confirmation with Clive Owen. He is best known for writing the film Nebraska.
Baron Cohen is known for portraying the characters Borat and Bruno, which were developed for The Ali G Show on HBO. He is currently working on his next film Grimsby, which he wrote and stars in.
