Amber Heard and Mary Steenburgen have joined Lake Bell’s WHAT’S THE POINT? (AND OTHER FAIR QUESTIONS ABOUT MARRIAGE). Ed Helms, Paul Reiser, Dolly Wells, and Chace Crawford also star in the ensemble comedy that explores the concept of marriage and how it should be a seven-year contract with an option to renew. Wells will portray a documentarian that follows three couples that are in different stages of their relationships.
Bell will direct, star and produce the film under her More Films banner with Jett Steiger of Ways & Means. Miranda Bailey and Amanda Marshall of Cold Iron Pictures and Jason Beck and Andy Bohn of The Film Arcade will also serve as producers.
Heard was recently seen in Magic Mike XXL and the Oscar-nominated The Danish Girl opposite Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander. She is attached to join the DC cinematic universe in the first installment of the Justice League movie as well as Aquaman. She is repped by WME.
Steenburgen currently stars in the hit Fox comedy The Last Man on Earth. She can be seen next in the drama The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea with Maisie Williams and Jessica Biel as well as the dramedy Dean directed by Demetri Martin. She is repped by UTA and Agency for the Performing Arts.
