Actor Amber Heard has just lined up a potential next project, playing the lead in Sentinel Pictures and XYZ Films’ romantic thriller RUN AWAY WITH ME.
Directed by Fred Grivois (a long-collaborator of filmmaker Jacques Audiard) from a screenplay by Matthew Ian Cirulnick (Absentia), the film is scheduled to go into production later this year with XYZ handling worldwide sales at the European Film Market in Berlin. Sentinel Pictures developed Cirulnick’s original pitch with Adam Brawer and David Beitchman producing and Nate Bolotin, Aram Tertzakian and Raphaël Rocher as exec. producers.
Heard plays Kimberly one half of a pair of star-crossed lovers trying to escape the underbelly of the European modeling industry after Tom, an American visiting Paris, falls in love with her and realizes her predicament.
It will be Grivois’ second film as a director after the French-Belgian film Through the Air.
Heard recently appeared in Warner Bros’ Justice League as Aquaman consort Queen Mera, a role she’ll reprise in the James Wan-directed Aquaman later this year. Heard’s other semi-recent films include The Danish Girl, Pamel Romanowsky’s The Adderall Diaries with James Franco and Ed Harris and Magic Mike XXL.
Heard and Grivois are both represented by WME with the latter also being repped by Film Talents and Mosaic.
The news was first reported by Variety.
