Andie MacDowell has signed on for the Warner Bros. sequel MAGIC MIKE XXL. The sequel follows Mike and his friends as they take a road trip to a stripper convention. Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello will all reprise their roles in the film, which is being directed by Greg Jacobs. It was recently announced that Matthew McConaughey will not be joining the group.
MacDowell is best known for her roles in 80s and 90s dramas like “St. Elmo’s Fire,” dramedy “Groundhog Day,” and rom-com “Four Weddings and a Funeral.” More recently, MacDowell has appeared in rom-com “Monte Carlo” and the rebooted “Footloose” film in supporting roles. Next up, MacDowell will star alongside Christina Ricci, Sharon Stone and Susan Sarandon in “Mothers Day.”
