Angela Lansbury is set to join the cast of Wes Anderson’s next project, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL (aka UNTITLED WES ANDERSON EURO PROJECT), as is frequent Anderson collaborator Bill Murray.
The story is kept under wraps but will be a European project drawing from Anderson’s own experiences living in France. Lansbury and Murray will be joining Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Owen Wilson and someone will be playing a psychic medium but that’s as far as the details go.
Anderson will produce with Steven M. Rales and Scott Rudin.
Lansbury, a TV, stage and film actress, last appeared in the films “Nanny McPhee”, “Mr. Poppers’ Penguins” and the documentary “The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story”. She is repped by Don Buchwald and Associates.
Comedic actor Murray most recently starred in Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” and will next be seen in “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III” and “Hyde Park On Hudson”.
