Angourie Rice has joined the recently cast Margaret Qualley, as well as Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe for THE NICE GUYS. The period crime thriller follows a recovering alcoholic and a private investigator who are brought together by the suicide of a fading porn star. Together, they launch an investigation after the girl’s aunt swears she saw her niece after her “death” and find that the conspiracy is more far reaching than they expected. Shane Black and Anthony Bagarozzi co-wrote the script. Black will also direct the Warner Bros. project, which is being produced by Joel Silver.
Rice has only recently begun her acting career. The young Aussie actress, who will play Gosling’s daughter in this project, starred in the animated family feature “Walking with Dinosaurs 3D,” as well as the Australian drama thriller “These Final Hours.”
Rice is repped by WME and Catherine Poulton Management.
