Anne Fletcher Set To Direct “Murder Mystery”



has been hired to direct the Agatha Christie throwback . The project isn’t based on one of her books but said to be a comedic take on her type of whodunit. Let’s hope it’s more playful ribbing and respectful jabs than a parody done by Friedberg and Seltzer. The plot revolves around a married couple who are having troubles and decide to work through things by taking the honeymoon they never had. Unfortunately (Though I bet it ends up working out of for them) they wind up on a cruise ship where one of the fellow passengers turns up dead.

James Vanderbilt (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “White House Down”) wrote the script and will produce alongside Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson, AJ Dix, William Shively and Charlize Theron.

Choreographer turned director Fletcher last helmed “The Guilt Trip.” She’s also attached to direct “Enchanted 2” and “The Fight Before Christmas.”
