Shane Carruth has assembled a massive, all-star cast for his next feature film, THE MODERN OCEAN, including Anne Hathaway, Daniel Radcliffe, and Keanu Reeves. Carruth wrote the 200-page script, which is filled with pictures and diagrams.
Joining Hathaway, Radcliffe, and Reeves are Chloe Grace Moretz, Tom Holland, Asa Butterfield, Jeff Goldblum, and Abraham Attah. Carruth will also star in the film.
The film revolves around vengeance and the fierce competition for valuable shipping routes and priceless materials that converge in a spectacular battle on the rolling decks of behemoth diagrams. The producers say the adventure-drama “will draw audiences into a secretive world filled with mysterious technologies and bitter rivalries.”
Multi-hyphenate Carruth will produce through his banner erbp with Lawrence Inglee from Blackbird and Eyal Rimmon of Tadmor.
Carruth’s feature debut, Primer, won the Grand Jury Prize and the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. FilmNation will unveil Ocean at the American Film Market.
