Academy Award-winning actor Anne Hathaway has been tapped to star in the big screen adaptation of LIVE FAST DIE HOT. Based on the best-selling book by Jenny Mollen that was released in June, the rights were recently nabbed by Warner Bros.
The book is a collection of essays about self-discovery that follows Mollen’s transformation and her shift in priorities as she evolves from her social media-centric and impulsive personality. It follows Jenny to Morocco, where she embarks on a quest to prove to herself that she can travel alone without reenacting a plotline from Taken. It also shows her confronting demons — most of them from childhood, a few from the spirit realm.
Hathaway is also set to produce alongside Gail Berman. Mollen will serve as executive producer while Chantal Nong will oversee for Warner Bros.
Hathaway was recently seen in Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. She also stars in the forthcoming sci-fi thriller Colossal with Dan Stevens and Jason Suedikis and has been tapped to star in Gary Ross’s all-female spin-off of Ocean’s Eleven.
