“The Social Network” actor Armie Hammer is in talks to join Johnny Depp in the title role of the upcoming Gore Verbinski-helmed, THE LONE RANGER. Based on the characters created by George W. Trendle, the western will follow the adventures the masked Ranger and his Native American sidekick as they battle crime in the old west. Verbinski will direct from a draft by Justin Haythe.
Jerry Bruckheimer to produce, with Mike Stenson and Chad Oman serving as exec producers.
Hammer is also set to star as Prince Andrew Alcott in Relativity Media’s “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.”
