Armie Hammer has joined the cast of the upcoming drama FINAL PORTRAIT. The film is set to be directed by Stanley Tucci, who has also written the screenplay. The film centers on the real life friendship between American art critic James Lord and the legendary Swiss painter Alberto Giacometti. When Lord decides to sit for a portrait by his friend, he is unprepared for the painter’s demanding intensity, and the experience tests their relationship to the core. Geoffrey Rush will portray Giacometti, with Hammer set as Lord.
Known for his roles in The Lone Ranger and The Social Network, Hammer will seen in the upcoming Guy Ritchie film The Man From U.N.C.L.E., alongside of Henry Cavill. He is set to play Samuel Turner in the upcoming Nate Parker historical drama The Birth Of A Nation.
