MTV has cast recurring “Arrow” star Bex Taylor-Klaus in its SCREAM series. Taylor-Klaus plays artsy loner Audrey Jensen, replacing Amy Forsyth, who had previously been cast in that role. Connor Weil has also been added as a series regular, and Bobby Campo and Joel Gretsch have joined in recurring roles. Weil plays the all-American boyfriend of Emma (Willa Fitzgerald), Audrey’s former best friend. Campo will play the high school’s hot English teacher, while Gretsch will play the benevolent sheriff, father of main character Kieran (Amadeus Serafini).
Taylor-Klaus was a series regular on the third season of “The Killing,” but may be more widely known for her recurring role as Black Canary’s surrogate little sister Sin on the CW’s “Arrow.” (She also recurred on “House of Lies.”) Hers is definitely a career that’s picking up steam; the part on “The Killing” in 2013 was the first major role she ever had. Sadly, her casting in “Scream” probably doesn’t bode well for Sin’s continued appearance on “Arrow,” but I suppose I’ll get over that if it helps Taylor-Klaus toward success.
Weil appeared in Syfy’s B-movie phenomenon “Sharknado,” and also has a part in the upcoming drama “McFarland,” starring Kevin Costner. Campo picked up some horror movie cred with a role in “The Final Destination” (that’s “Final Destination 4,” for those of you keeping track at home), and is further starring in the upcoming horror thriller “Starve.” Gretsch was a series regular on the 2009 series “V” and the 2004 series “The 4400,” and has guest-starred and recurred on numerous other shows, including “United States of Tara,” “NCIS,” and “Witches of East End.” Coming up, he’ll appear in the drama “Safelight,” alongside Juno Temple and Evan Peters.
Taylor-Klaus is repped by The Corsa Agency and Curtis Talent Management; Campo is repped by Domain and Mosaic; Weil is repped by The Osbrink Agency and The Michael Abrams Group; Gretsch is repped by APA and Mosaic.
