In a piece of rather unsurprising news, sources tell us that the cast of James Franco’s indie THE LONG HOME is growing exponentially. Why, just yesterday Timothy Hutton and Courtney Love joined the indie thriller. Today, it’s been confirmed that Ashton Kutcher, Josh Hartnett, Zoe Levin, Analeigh Tipton, Scott Haze and Robin Lord-Taylor have all joined the cast, which already consisted of Josh Hutcherson, Tim Blake Nelson, Franco, and Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito.
Based on the novel by William Gay and set in the 1940’s, the film focuses on a headstrong young carpenter who is contracted to build a bar in Tennessee by the man who murdered his father. Franco will produce, along with Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis. Robert Halmi Jr. and Jim Reeve will executive produce the period thriller, which has now begun shooting with Franco at the helm.
Each new addition has previously worked with Franco before in some capacity, save for Kutcher.
