Atomic Tom’s Guerilla-Style iPhone Performance (Viral Video)

Brooklyn-based Atomic Tom recorded their performance of “Take Me Out” playing on iPhones with iPhones. The foursome acknowledge that they meticulously organized the publicity stunt without their label, Universal/Republic, and managers knowing about it.

Singer Luke White explains:

We decided to do this and not tell anyone–not our lawyer, our manager, the label.  We wanted to be able to say we came up with this idea independent of anybody else and it’s working.

The clip has received more than 90,000 hits since premiering on Friday.
