Barbara Curry Goes From Prosecutor To “The Jury”

Barbara Curry, who spent almost 10 years at the U.S. Attorney’s office has been hired to rewrite for . Becoming the fourth writer (at least) that has hopped onto the project the studio is now going for a writer who is well-versed the behind-the-scenes of trials and criminal procedures.

The film is about the trial of a young Sikh student charged with the murder of a tormenting classmate, and the lives of the jurors as they reach a verdict. Guymon Casady is producing the new project with Marc Forster, Brad Simpson and Quentin Curtis.

Curry moved from the U.S. Attorney’s office into screenwriting back in 2002 and recently finished a rewrite on “The Perfect Guy” She also wrote “The Boy Next Door” which is being produced by Jason Blum, John Jacobs, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, Jennifer Lopez and Benny Medina with Rob Cohen directing.
