Bela Bajaria has been named President of Universal Television after previously serving as Executive Vice President. The move comes during a number of shake-ups and promotions amidst NBC Universal’s television department. Also among the moves is former Head of Comedy Tracy Pakosta, who will be shifting to the role of Executive Vice President of Comedy Programming.
In regards to Bajaria’s promotion, NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt stated,
“Bela has done an incredible job of starting a studio from scratch three years ago and launching a series of hits on programming services ranging from NBC and Fox to A&E and Netflix. This business is very important to the overall performance at NBC Entertainment.”
