A STORM IN THE STARS has found its Percy Shelley to its Mary Wollstonecraft. British actor, Ben Hardy will step into the role of the legendary poet who married the woman who would later become the author of the literary classic Frankenstein.
The dramatization of the love affair between the two writers will be directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour and written by Emma Jensen. Alan Moloney and Ruth Coady from Parallel Films are set to produce alongside Amy Baer of Gidden Media. Joanne Burstein and Rebecca Miller have been tapped to be exec producers.
The film also stars Elle Fanning as Mary as well as Bel Powley and Douglas Booth. This will mark Al-Mansour’s first English language film after his critically-acclaimed Wadjda.
Hardy is known for his role as Peter Beale in the TV series, EastEnders. He can be seen in the forthcoming comic book blockbuster, X-Men: Apocalypse with Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and James McAvoy.
He is repped by Creative Artists Management and WME.
