The duo of Ben Stiller and Brad Pitt may seem like an unlikely pairing, but the two worked together in the hit animated feature Megamind and are looking to reunite in the upcoming comedy BRAD’S STATUS.
Stiller is in talks to star in the movie while Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment will produce alongside SKE and David Bernad. Mike White, who wrote School of Rock, penned the film and is set to direct.
The story follows Brad, who has a great career and happy family, but is obsessed with the better fortunes of his old friends from school. During an East Coast tour of colleges with his son, Brad is forced to confront his friends and his feelings of failure — with hilarious and poignant results.
Earlier this year, Stiller reprised his role as Derek Zoolander in Zoolander 2. He can be seen next in the Noah Baumbach comedy Yeh Din Ka Kissa with Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson, and Dustin Hoffman.
Pitt recently appeared in the Academy Award-winning The Big Short and can be seen next in War Machine with Tilda Swinton and Allied directed by Robert Zemeckis. He is also producing the upcoming movie The Lost City of Z and Okja directed by Snowpiercer helmer Joon-ho Bong.
Stiller is repped by WME.
Pitt is repped by CAA, Brillstein Entertainment, and Todd Shemarya Artists.
