Set in the early 20th century, the story follows a group of militant British women who fought for the right to vote. Carey Mulligan leads as Maude, a member of the group who leads the progression towards violence to secure women’s right to vote. There’s no word on what roles Whishaw and Gleeson will take in the film, which also stars Meryl Streep, Anne-Marie Duff, Helena Bonham Carter and Romola Garai.

Whishaw most recently starred in “Skyfall” and “Cloud Atlas” and will next be seen in “The Zero Theorem” and “Lilting.” He is repped by CAA.
