Benedict Cumberbatch is in talks to play Alan Turing in (black list 2011 script) THE IMITATION GAME.
Story centers on Alan Turing, a British mathematician who was a pioneer in the computer revolution. A tortured soul, he committed suicide two years after revealing his sexual orientation and enduring a humiliating treatment program.
Producing will be Nora Grossman, Ido Ostrowsky and Teddy Schwarzman.
Cumberbatch will soon appear in JJ Abrams Star Wars Trek sequel and is currently filming the Wikileaks movie “The Fifth Estate”. Hopefully somewhere in his schedule he’ll find time to give us series 3 of Sherlock Holmes.
He is repped by UTA and Conway van Gelder Grant.
