So everyone has been following this story a little obsessively for the past six weeks (see our stories from July and August) about the courtship process surrounding Benicio Del Toro and Star Wars: Episode VIII, and now we have the penultimate finale: Benicio Del Toro is playing a villain in the eighth installment of Star Wars.
We will of course still follow this subject intensely in order to find out what his name will be in the film and how he fits into the universe of the movies (and the expanded universe, of course), but we know now that he is confirmed, and an added bonus is that news has surfaced indicating that shooting might begin in March of next year.
Until more news develops on that front, everyone can still argue about who the new female lead for Ep. 8 should be (Tatiana Maslany?) while waiting impatiently for winter to bring The Force Awakens.
