Billy Bob Thornton and Andre Braugher have signed on, and Justin Chatwin is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming 2009 Black List script THE BAYTOWN DISCO. The project, which is set to be directed by Barry Battles, from a script he wrote with Griffin Hood, centers on three redneck brothers who get in over their heads when they agree to help a woman kidnap her son back from his seemingly evil father. State Street Pictures, who just released the Thorton-starring “Faster” are producing.
Thornton, who was most recently seen in the aforementioned “Faster” is currently penning the project “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” for which he plans to star in and direct. Braugher, who is currently starring in the TV series “Men of a Certain Age” was most recently seen in the Angelina Jolie-starring “Salt”. Meanwhile, Chatwin was most recently seen in the film “Dragonball Evolution” is more recognizeable from his staring role in the Showtime series “Shameless”.
Thornton is repped by WME and Media Talent Group. Braugher is also repped by WME, with managers Principato-Young Entertainment. Chatwin is repped by UTA and Alchemy Entertainment.
