Billy Bob Thornton is in talks to star in David Gordon Green’s OUR BRAND IS CRISIS. The drama, starring Sandra Bullock and Scoot McNairy, follows a political consultant who goes to South America to help with the local election and realizes how corrupt it really is and that she might be helping the wrong people. George Clooney and Grant Heslov will produce under their Smokehouse Pictures banner.
Thornton’s latest projects include Peter Landesman’s “Parkland,” David Hackl’s horror “Grizzly,” and David Dobkin’s “The Judge,” which is garnering a lot of attention for its leads Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall at TIFF. He also recently ended his run on the FX adaptation of “Fargo,” where he starred with Martin Freeman and Colin Hanks. Among his upcoming projects, Thornton will star alongside Theo James and Johnny Depp in crime/thriller “London Fields.”
