Sylvia Hoeks has signed on to the growing cast of the UNTITLED BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL. The Dutch actress will join Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, and Ana De Armas.
Ford is set to reprise his role as Detective Rick Deckard while Denis Villeneuve has signed on to direct. Co-writer of the original, Hampton Fancher is back on board to write the sequel alongside Michael Green. The sequel is slated for a Jan. 12, 2018 release date.
Details about the sequel and the characters have been kept under wraps, but it will be set in Los Angeles decades after the original which was based on Philip K. Dick’s 1968 sci-fi novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and directed by Ridley Scott.
Hoeks has been seen in many European and Dutch movies. Se starred in the drama The Best Offer opposite Geoffery Rush and can be seen in Luc Besson’s The Lake starring J.K. Simmons.
