The Shawn Christensen-directed SIDNEY HALL has added Blake Jenner, Margaret Qualley, and Tim Blake Nelson to the growing cast. The trio joins stars Logan Lerman and Elle Fanning for the drama.
The story follows the titular character, a novelist who became wildly successful after writing the book of his generation. The success led to a mental breakdown and eventually his mysterious disappearance.
Kyle Chandler, Nathan Lane, and Michelle Monaghan also star in the film. Christensen co-wrote the script with Jason Dolan. Jonathan Schwartz of Super Crispy Entertainment is set to produce, with Fielder Jewett co-producing. Ridley Scott and his Scott Free Films were previously attached to produce as well. Christensen will exec produce with Lerman.
Jenner can currently be seen in Richard Linklater’s latest, Everybody Wants Some!!. He can be seen next in the drama Billy Boy, which he wrote and produced. He also stars in the comedy The Edge of Seventeen opposite Haiee Steinfeld. He is repped by CAA and Artist & Brand Management.
Qualley can be seen in the last season of HBO’s The Leftovers. She can also be seen in Shane Black’s upcoming crime comedy The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. She is repped by UTA.
Nelson recently appeared in The Confirmation starring Clive Owen. He also stars in the upcoming Black Dog, Red Dog with James Franco and Olivia Wilde as well as the Ang Lee feature, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. He is repped by UTA.
