Blake Lively is set to buoy her career with IN THE DEEP. Sorry, that’s an awful pun. Lively is currently in negotiations with Sony to star in their shark film which is being directed now by Jaume Collet-Serra from Run All Night. The script is by Tony Jawinski and was won by Sony Pictures after a heated bidding war at the end of last year.
The film is about a woman stranded in the ocean on a buoy (told you it was awful) because a sadistic shark is blocking her way back to shore. Rumors have it that the script will great material for Lively both because she is a great fit for the part and because it requires the actress to take an extremely emotional journey.
Lively can be seen next in Marc Forster’s All I See Is You and Woody Allen’s untitled next film. She is repped by WME and Management 360.
