Bob Weinstein and Stacey Sher have both signed up to produce Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming project THE HATEFUL EIGHT. The film takes place in a post Civil War world and will center around a group of stagecoach passengers who have been stranded on the road due to a blizzard. The group finds refuge in a nearby store called Minnie’s Haberdashery. This isn’t the first time the group has worked together, Tarantino has worked with Weinstein and Sher before on films such as “Kill Bill Vol. 1,” “Kill Bill Vol. 2,” and “Pulp Fiction.” Other producers include Richard Gladstein, Shannon McIntosh, and G Mac Brown who will be executive producing.
Normally working on dramas like “Erin Brockovich” and rom-coms like “Along Came Polly,” Sher has only worked on westerns once before with Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” Weinstein first made a name for himself with his work on “Pulp Fiction” which has allowed him to go on a produce a wide array of movies since then including, most recently, “August: Osage County” and “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”
Sher is repped by CAA.
