SUPERIOR, the comic book series by Mark Millar, is heading to the big screen. Fox picked up the project a couple years ago and have now brought on writing duo Brandon Murphy and Phillip Murphy to pen the script.
The comic follows an athletic 12-year-old boy who is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In order to regain his strength, the boy is granted one wish from an alien monkey – to become Superior, his favorite superhero, but things go awry when he learns that the monkey is a demon and that he must sell his soul to keep his powers.
This is the fourth series created by Millar to receive a big screen adaptation, with the first three being Wanted, Kick-Ass, and last year’s break out hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service. Vaughn wrote, produced, and directed both Kick-Ass and Kingsman and is currently writing Kingsman 2.
The Murphy team are currently attached to pen the features Transference and the adaptation of Exile On Main Street: A Season In Hell With The Rolling Stones.
