Brenton Thwaites has joined the cast of GODS OF EGYPT opposite Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones”), Geoffrey Rush (“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”) and Gerard Butler (“300”). The story follows a thief and a God (Coster-Waldau) on a magical quest. Thwaites will play the thief, but little else is known about the role other than it’s an obvious lead.
Alex Proyas (“Dark City”) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Producing will be Basil Iwanyk.
Thwaites will be seen soon in “Oculus”, “Maleficent” and “Son of a Gun” amongst others.
He is repped by WME.
