Brett Davern has been tapped for a role in Kyle Patrick Alvarez’s THE STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT. Based on the real life experiment by psychologist Phil Zimbardo, the period drama tells thestory of the 1971 experiment in which students role-played prisoners and guards, with harrowing results. Davern joins Billy Crudup, Ezra Miller, and Jesse Plemons as Hubbie Whitlow, a young participant who plots a failed escape and suffers the humiliation the sadistic guards subject him to.
Davern plays Jake Rosati on MTV’s “Awkward,” and has also had minor roles in feature films like the comedy “Movie 43” and the Beach Boys biopic “Love & Mercy.” He will next appear in thriller “The Culling” with Jeremy Sumpter and Elizabeth Di Prinzio.
