Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch have signed on to star as father and son in AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE. The story revolves around a small-town, family-owned, mortuary, and the father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim: a beautiful young “Jane Doe.” As they attempt to figure out how she died and who she is, they discover increasingly bizarre clues, which hold the key to terrifying secrets.
The film is being directed by Troll Hunter helmer, Andre Øvredal and produced by Eric Garcia and Fred Berger of Impostor Pictures as well as Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken of 42. The film was written by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing.
Cox has been acting for decades and can be seen in the first two Bourne films as well as Super Troopers and various television projects. You can see him next in the upcoming film Pixels.
Hirsch is currently awaiting a court date after an alleged assault on a Paramount executive during the Sundance Film Festival, but is better known for his roles in Lone Survivor and Into The Wild.
